DELHI, India – Former Harvard track and field
standout Natalie N. Grant '02 concluded her run at the 2010
Commonwealth Games with a ninth-place finish in the women's
hammer throw Thursday evening. Her final mark of 60.26 meters was a
season best for the former Harvard star and was less than a meter
removed from the eighth-place finisher.
"This was a really great opportunity for me and I always enjoy representing Jamaica," said Grant after the event. "I'm happy with much of what I brought into this meet but I also know I left some good throws out there. I'm definitely looking forward to next year and seeing many of the same great competitors [at the 2011 Pan-American Games] in Mexico."
The Commonwealth Games conclude Oct. 14 and the track and field events extend to the end of the competition.
