Track and Field Captures Three Events at UCF Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Harvard track and field team
captured three events, competing at the UCF Invitational March
26-27.
Sydnie Leroy got things started for the Crimson women with a tie for second-place finish in the pole vault, posting a mark of 3.50 meters. Olivia Weeks picked up Harvard’s first win, taking the title in the triple jump with a leap of 12.24 meters. Jessica Fronk followed suit with a victory in the javelin, posting a mark of 45.79 that was 7.5 meters clear of the second-place finisher.
Jack Brady captured the discus by a wide margin, as his mark of 49.01 meters was nearly 11 meters beyond his closest competitor. Brady also led a two-four-five Harvard finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 56.74 meters and teamed with Edward Brucker to record the top-two collegiate times in the shot put. Justin Grinstead turned in a strong showing in the 400 meter hurdles with a second-place time of 54.15
Up next for Harvard is the Sam Howell Invitational April 2-3 in Princeton, N.J.
