Relay Team Leads Track and Field in Final Day at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Harvard track and field
team wrapped up its stay at the annual Penn Relays Saturday with a
pair of strong showings at Franklin Field.
The highlight of the afternoon came from the women’s 4x800 meter relay team as the squad captured the collegiate women’s championship with a new school record. The quartet of Thea Lee, Hilary May, Meghan Looney and Carlyle Davis combined for a time of 8:46.98, besting second-place Dartmouth by nearly six seconds to take the victory.
On the men’s side, Jack Brady turned in a solid performance in his lone event of the day. Brady posted a mark of 53.22 meters in the men’s collegiate hammer throw competition to capture a 16th place finish in the event.
Harvard wraps up its weekend with members of the team competing in the both the Yale and Brown springtime invitationals Sunday.
