Strong Finishes For Track and Field In Day Two of Penn Relays

Day 1 Recap
PHILADELPHIA – The Harvard track and field team turned in a number of solid performances in its second day of competition at the annual Penn Relays at Franklin Field.
Jack Brady led the men’s efforts with a third place toss of 16.25 meters in the Eastern Collegiate shot put competition. Teammate Edward Brucker finished close behind in fifth with a mark of 16.05 meters. The 4x200 meter relay team of Justin Grinstead, Jonathan Meminger, John Dingus and John Fahnenstiel turned in a time of 1:27.70 to take 28th in the event.
On the women’s side, the 4x1,500 meter relay team of Claire Richardson, Nicole Cochran, Jeanne Mack and Sammy Silva placed 11th in the Collegiate Championships of America, registering a time of 18:28.72 to best its closest competitor by nearly 16 seconds. The quartet of Jasmine Cho, Adrienne Slaughter, Shannon Conway and Meghan Looney finished 28th in the sprint medley relay with a time of 4:06.93.
Harvard wraps up its stay at the Penn Relays Saturday.
