Track and Field Turns in Solid Performance at Stanford Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. –
The Harvard track and field team sent athletes to the Stanford Invitational March 26-27.

Brian Paison fronted a trio of Crimson men in the 800 meter run, finishing in 18th place with a time of 1:51.81. Jeff Homer placed 24th in the event with a mark of 1:52.45 and Brian Hill took 48th with a time of 1:59.97. Darcy Wilson placed fourth in his heat of the 1,500 meter run with a time of 3:53.82 and Dan Chenoweth (13:59.43) and Chas Gillespie (14:02.19) placed third and eighth, respectively, in the second heat of the 5,000 meter run.

Thea Lee turned in the top time for the Crimson women in the 800 meter run with a 25th-place 2:11.15 final while Meghan Looney (29th, 2:11.64) and Carlyle Davis (31st, 2:12.02) were close behind. Nicole Cochran placed 16th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:12.49 and Claire Richardson placed second in her heat, posting a 16:20.98 mark in the 5,000 meter run.

Up next for Harvard is the Sam Howell Invitational April 2-3 in Princeton, N.J.
