Track and Field Post Personal Bests and ECAC/IC4A Marks at Terrier Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – Members of the Harvard men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the Terrier Invitational at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center over the weekend. Crimson athletes posted four ECAC/IC4A qualifying marks during the event.

In the men’s meet, junior Brian Hill finished second in the 800 meter run with an IC4A qualifying time of 1:50.80. Hill’s time was also a personal best. Sophomore John Dingus qualified for the IC4A Championships in the 500 meters. He was second in the 500 meter run with a time of 1:04.09. Junior Sean Gil placed in the top three for the Crimson, finishing second in the pole vault, clearing a height of 4.56 meters

On the women’s side, freshman Carlyle Davis was second in the 800 meter run in an ECAC qualifying time of 2:09.44. Junior Eliva Ives qualified for the ECAC Championships in the 5,000 meter run, crossing the finish line in 17:14.57. She finished seventh in the event.

Other top 10 place winners were freshman Ashtynn Baltimore who was fourth in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.37 seconds. Thea Lee and Meghan Looney were seventh and eighth in the 1,000 meter run, clocking in at 2:57.65 and 2:57.96, respectively. Sophomore Stacey Jung was seventh in the pole vaulting, clearing a height of 3.20 meters.

Harvard hosts the Battle of Beantown Saturday at Gordon Indoor Track.
