Complete Indoor and Outdoor Schedule
The Harvard men’s and women’s track and field teams
will have a busy schedule this indoor and outdoor season as the
Crimson looks to move up in the league standings and send more
student-athletes to the ECAC/IC4A Championships and NCAA events
during both seasons.
Harvard will spend the majority of the indoor season competing in
Boston before traveling to 10 different states during the outdoor
campaign.
The Crimson will kick off the indoor track season at
Northeastern’s Husky Invitational at the Reggie Lewis Center
on Dec. 5. The following weekend, the Crimson will host the Harvard
Open, but will be unable to compete due to the change in the final
exam schedule. Harvard starts the new year off at the Dartmouth
Relays on Jan. 9 before returning home for back-to-back meets at
the Gordon Indoor Track. Harvard hosts the Harvard Invitational
Jan. 16 and the Harvard Select Meet on Jan. 23. On Jan. 29, the
Crimson will compete at the Terrier Invitational at Boston
University’s Track and Tennis Center and host the Harvard
Multi-Meet.
Harvard men look to hold onto the Beanpot trophy, while the women
look to win its first title after closing the gap against Boston
College last year when the Crimson hosts the third annual Battle of
Beantown Feb. 6. The Crimson then travels to Princeton for the
annual HYP meet before heading to Dartmouth for the Heptagonal
Championships Feb. 27-28. The indoor season wraps up with the ECAC
and IC4A Championships in Boston March 6 and the NCAA Championships
in Fayetteville, Ark., March 12-13.
The Crimson will open its spring season at Texas Southern Relays
during spring break. The following weekend, several athletes will
travel to California for the Stanford Invitational and Florida for
the Central Florida Invitational. During the month of April, the
Crimson will compete at the Sam Howell Invitational, the Bison
Outdoor Classic, the Sea Ray Relays, the Brown Invitational, the
H-Y dual, the Penn Relays and the Yale Springtime Invitational.
Harvard travels to Princeton, N.J., for the Heptagonal
Championships May 8-9 and then returns to the same stadium the
following weekend for the ECAC/IC4A Championships. The 2010 NCAA
East Regional will be held in Greensboro, N.C., two weeks later
where student-athletes will vie for spots at the NCAA
Championships, which will take place June 9-12 in Eugene, Ore.
