Fayetteville, Ark. - Harvard Senior Becky Christensen and freshman Nico Weiler earned All-America honors Friday night the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at the John McDonnell Track.

Christensen earned All-America status for the fourth time in her career and posted her third top-five finish at the NCAA Championships. She was one of eight competitors to clear 1.83 meters in the final. She cleared the first two heights on her first attempt and made it over 1.80 meters on her second try. The Celina, Texas, native was one of four individuals to make 1.83 meters on their final try, resulting in a four-way tie for fifth.

Only Dora Gyorffy '01 has earned more All-America honors in women's track and field than Christensen, who finishes her career with the second best jump in Harvard history and with six Ivy League high jump titles.

Weiler, competing in his first NCAA Championships is a first-time All-American. He finished sixth in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.35 meters. He made 5.10 and 5.25 on his first attempt. The Ivy League, IC4A and East region champion made it over 5.35 meters on his third attempt. He just missed 5.45 meters, which would have been a personal best.

He is the first All-American on the men's side since Samyr Laine '06 in 2005 and only the second Harvard male to earn the distinction in the pole vault.
