Sara Cushman rejoined the Harvard ski team as an assistant Nordic coach in September, 2008.

A 1997 Harvard graduate with a concentration in anthropology, Cushman was a four-year varsity skier for the Crimson and a former Captain of the Harvard Nordic Ski Team.  She served as the Nordic Coach from 1998-2002 before taking some time away from the sport to attend law school at Boston College. As coach of the Crimson team, Cushman twice took skiers to the NCAA National Championships, those trips coming in 2000 and 2001.

While at Harvard, Cushman also played softball and earned All-Ivy League status in 1994.

When not on skis, Cushman works as an attorney at a Boston law firm and also enjoys cycling. She competes in cyclocross races and recently completed a ride across the U.S.
