Hampton Earns Spot at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Junior Rachel Hampton of the nordic ski team earned one of 74 women's spots at the NCAA Championships, it was announced today.

The NCAA Championships will be hosted by the University of Colorado, Boulder at Mount Werner and Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs, Colorado March 9-12.

The Telluride, Colorado native recorded a stellar regular season, finishing within the top-25 and posting the top placement for the Crimson in all but of one nordic race, including two top-10 finishes.

The junior has placed within the top-20 eight times, marking the most top-20 finishes by a women's nordic member in a season since Jennifer Rolfes '14 posted eight top-20 finishes during the 2013-14 season.

Hampton becomes Harvard's third nordic women's skier to qualify for multiple NCAA Championships, joining Alena Tofte '13 and Anna McLoon '04, who owns the record with three NCAA Championships appearances during her days in Cambridge.
