CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After completing the regular season in both the nordic and alpine disciplines, the Harvard ski team had 13 of its members named to the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association (USCSCA) National Collegiate All-Academic Team, the organization announced Friday. The Harvard contingent was comprised of eight men and five women.

One of, if not the, most difficult academic teams of its kind nationally, to make the team student-athletes must maintain a cumulative 3.5 grade point average in the classroom and have competed in one of three NCAA Regional competitions. 276 athletes were named from 29 teams nationwide.

The Crimson honorees were: Hanna Barnes, Charlotte Cole, Connor Green, Rachel Hampton, Annie Harvieux, Akeo Maifeld-Carucci, Simon Merryweather, Ian Meyer, Dan Rittenhouse, Emily Rogers, Devlin Shea, James Stevenson, Pieter Weemaes.

The skiing season comes to a close next week as Hampton and Maifeld-Carucci will represent the Crimson at the 2015 NCAA Skiing Championships in Lake Placid, New York.
