Brenna Morrissey is in her third season as a volunteer assistant in 2016.
In 2014, Morrissey assisted in the Crimson posting a stellar 28-15-1 record and a second-place finish in the Ivy League North Division. Seven student-athletes garnered All-Ivy League recognition during Morrissey first season in the Harvard dugout, highlighted by three first team selections.
The 2015 season saw the Crimson finish second in the North Division once again, as four players earned first team All-Ivy League recognition.
Morrissey joined the Crimson after a solid career as a middle infielder at Georgia State. A 2013 graduate of the institution, Morrissey walked onto the team as a sophomore and went onto play in over 150 games at shortstop, second base and designated player. A 2011 All-CAA second-team honoree, her strongest year came as a junior when she led the squad in hits (46), runs scored (28) and at-bats (181). She capped her Georgia State tenure by appearing in 49 games as a senior and recording a perfect fielding percentage on the season. Morrissey was also earned academic recognition on the Dean’s List/AD’s Honor Roll three times.
Prior to her arrival in Georgia, Morrissey played her freshman season at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. She started all 46 games at shortstop and was named to the All-Northeast-10 first team and All-Northeast-10 Tournament first team. She is originally from Salem, N.H.
