Softball's Rich, Duncan Secure Ivy Weekly Honors After Sweep of Penn

PRINCETON, N.J. – Juniors Rhianna Rich and Katie Duncan grabbed a pair of Ivy League honors after last weekend's series sweep of Penn announced on Monday afternoon. 

Rich earned Player of the Week accolades for the third time this season. The southern California native posted a .750 (9-12) batting average with two doubles, a triple, and three RBI, while registering a staggering 1.852 OPS (1.083 SLG%, .769 OBP). In game two of the series on Saturday, after tripling to lead off the bottom of the eighth, Rich scored the walk-off run on a sacrifice fly to center field.

Duncan secured her third weekly honors of the year as well, posting a 2-0 record without allowing an earned run in 14.2 innings of work. Additionally, the northern New Jersey native registered her second save of the season, after tossing the final three innings of Saturday afternoon's 8-2 victory over the Quakers.

The Crimson returns to the diamond tomorrow afternoon, hosting Bryant at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Ivy League Network.
