Harvard women’s sailing juniors Emily Lambert and Alexandra Jumper have been selected to the All-NEISA women’s sailing team. Lambert was selected to the All-NEISA skipper first team, while Jumper earned first-team accolades as a crew.

Harvard Sailing Comes in Fourth at the NEISA Coed Dinghy Championship
The Harvard sailing team used a strong performance in the B division to secure a fourth-place finish at the New England Coed Dinghy Championship hosted by Rhode Island. The Crimson also had squads competing at the Oberg Trophy, Savin Hill Invitational and the Women’s Wick and Shrew Trophies.

Harvard Sailing Victorious at Southern New England Team Race
The Harvard coed sailing team lost only one race while capturing 14 victories to win the Southern New England Team Race over the weekend. The win is the third of the spring season for the Crimson.

Harvard Sailing Tops the Ivy League
The Harvard coed sailing team notched its second victory of the season and finished atop the Ivy League standings by capturing the Owen and Mosbacher-Knapp Trophies at Kings Point over the weekend. The Crimson also finished seventh at the Boston Dinghy Cup, eighth at the Boston University Bridge Invitational and fourth at the Women’s Duplin Trophy.

Sailing Places Ninth at St. Mary's and Navy
The Harvard women’s and coed sailing teams were both on the water over the weekend, as the women’s team took ninth out of 18 teams at the St. Mary’s Women’s Intersectional and the coed squad finished ninth out of 19 teams at the Truxton Umsted Trophy.

The Harvard coed sailing team took home third place at the 18th St. Mary’s Team Race after two days of sailing on the St. Mary’s River. The Harvard women’s sailing squad was also in action over the week, placing 10th out of 18 at the 28th Women’s Intersectional hosted by Navy.

The Harvard coed sailing team won the first regatta of the spring season, bringing home the Sharpe Trophy Sunday. The team-racing event was hosted by Roger Williams after ice on the Charles River forced a venue change.

Harvard Sailing Finishes Sixth at Atlantic Coast Dinghies
In some of the closest sailing of the fall season, Harvard’s coed team notched a sixth-place finish at the Atlantic Coast Dinghy Championship, hosted by Navy over the weekend. The Crimson also posted a 12th-place finish at the Women’s Atlantic Coast Championships. The Atlantic Coast Championships mark the conclusion of the fall season for Harvard.

Harvard Sailing Takes Fourth at Hap Moore Trophy
The Harvard sailing team finished fourth at the Hap Moore Trophy, hosted by Coast Guard. The regatta was one of two-team race, round-robin style regattas the Crimson participated in over the weekend, also hosting the Horn Trophy.

Harvard Sailing Captures Third at Schell and Coffee Urn
In two of the most competitive regattas of the fall, Harvard’s coed and women’s sailing teams each captured third-place finishes. The coeds finished behind Boston College and Roger Williams at the Erwin Schell Trophy, while Boston College and Connecticut College were the only two teams to outsail the Crimson women.

Harvard sailing alumna Genny Tulloch captured the 2010 Rolex Osprey Cup Saturday, Oct. 23. Tulloch, the Intercollegiate Sailing Association’s 2004 Quantum Women’s Sailor of the Year, sailed with Alice Manard Leonard, Jenn Chamberlain and 2006 Quantum Female College Sailor of the Year Alana O'Reilly.

The Harvard coed sailing team finished third at the Sherman Hoyt Trophy, hosted by Brown, while the women’s sailors registered a sixth-place finish at the Stu Nelson Women’s regatta over the weekend.

Harvard Sailing Wins Captain Hurst Bowl
The Harvard sailing team outraced 19 teams to capture the Captain Hurst Bowl, hosted by Dartmouth, Saturday and Sunday. A combined two-division score of 168, behind an A-division victory and a third-place B-division finish allowed the Crimson to sail to victory by a 17-point margin.

US Sailing, the national governing body of United States sailing, has recognized Alan Palmer as the Sailor of the Week. Palmer, an integral member of the Harvard sailing team, helped the Crimson win the Nevins Trophy and the Hood Trophy already this fall.

The Intercollegiate Sailing Association has announced its 2009-10 All-Academic teams, and three Harvard sailors have been selected. Alan Palmer was selected to the first team, while Michelle Konstadt and Winston Yan were second-team selections.

In six weekend regattas, the Harvard sailing team garnered four top-10 finishes including a fourth-place showing at the Harvard Invitational 2, a sixth-place finish at the Richard B. Ross College Bowl and seventh-place performances at the Danmark Trophy and the Central Series Four.

The Harvard sailing team beat out host Tufts and 18 other schools to capture the Professor Steadman Hood Trophy this weekend. The Crimson also captured fifth at the St. Mary’s Fall Intersectional.

The Harvard coed sailing team captured the Nevins Trophy over the weekend at Kings Point with a cumulative score of 131, edging Georgetown by four points. The Crimson also sent squads to three other regattas, highlighted by an A-division win in the Mrs. Hurst Bowl.
