Men’s Water Polo Advances with Fourth-Place Finish at Northern Division Championship
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's water polo advanced to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Eastern Championship with a fourth-place finish at the CWPA Northern Division Championship Nov. 6. In the tournament's third-place game, Max Eliot scored four goals but the No. 6 seed Crimson fell to No. 4 seed Iona, 13-11.
Kevin DiSilvestro lent a helping hand at both ends of the pool, tallying two assists and a team-high two steals.
Alexandre Popp, who made 13 saves in each of the championship's first two contests, stopped 13 shots in the loss. The senior also contributed two assists for the Crimson.
In the first round of the CWPA Eastern Championship, No. 4 seed Harvard will face Navy, the CWPA Southern Division champion, Nov. 18 at 2:30 p.m. Harvard will host the entirety of the CWPA Eastern Championship at Blodgett Pool Nov. 18-20.
