Men's Water Polo Places 10 on ACWPC All-Academic Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced its 2008 All-Academic Team Monday evening and 10 Crimson players appear on the list.

 

The team is comprised of varsity student-athletes who competed at least 50 percent of the games during the fall season and accumulated a 3.2 or higher cumulative grade-point average.

Student-athletes were recognized in three levels: 3.2 to 3.4 (Excellent), 3.41 to 3.7 (Superior) and 3.71 to 4.0 (Outstanding). For the Crimson, eight of its 10 honorees recorded performances of Superior or better.

Seniors Jay Connolly and David Tune, juniors Egen Atkinson, Thomas Bailey, Mitch Denti, Dan Furman, sophomores Jeff Lee, Alex Thompson, Bret Voith, and freshman Mike Katzer were recognized on the ACWPC All-Academic Team.

The Crimson also posted a 3.33 overall cumulative GPA as a team.
