Andrew Chesebro Named 2013 EIVA SID of the Year

Cambridge, Mass. – Harvard Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Andrew Chesebro was named the 2013 EIVA Sports Information Director (SID) of the Year in the announcement of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Grant Burger Media Awards made on Wednesday. This is the first such honor for Chesebro, who coordinated communications and multimedia efforts for the Crimson volleyball programs as well as women's basketball, men's lacrosse, wrestling, men's swimming and diving and sailing this past year.

The Harvard SID was joined by Jessica Souto (Ball State) of the MIVA, Stacey Shackleford (UC Irvine) of the MPSF and David Shulimson (Mount Olive) of the Conference Carolinas as NCAA Division I-II Men's Sports Information Director Conference honorees.

Chesebro has been instrumental in helping Harvard Athletics build its video content on GoCrimson.com and YouTube. The third-year Harvard SID has introduced several video series during his time with the Crimson, including "Seeing Crimson," "Sights and Sounds," and "Top Plays." In addition to his general duties, Chesebro serves on Harvard's Multimedia Committee, Student-Athlete Development Committee and its Social Committee, and is a member of the Ivy League's Digital Strategy Committee.
