Jones Named EIVA Hay Division Player of the Week

Sophomore outside hitter Matt Jones was named EIVA Hay Division Player of the Week the league office announced Monday afternoon. This is the second time in his career Jones has received the honor.

In Harvard’s 3-0 win over Sacred Heart, Jones accounted for 24.5 points on 18 kills, four service aces and three blocks. He also recorded nine digs. Jones scored the set winning point in the opening frame and helped the team gain the lead in the third set with four consecutive points.

Earlier in the week against Rivier, Jones tallied 14 kills, three assists, nine digs and one block.

The Crimson is back on the court Tuesday evening in a non-conference match at Springfield.
