Men’s Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Honors, Six Earn Individual All-Academic Recognition

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
Harvard men's tennis was honored as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team for maintaining a cumulative team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale), the organization announced today (July 26).  

In addition, six individuals were named 2017 ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athletes. Graduated senior Sebastian Beltrame, senior Xavier Gonzalez, sophomore Galen Lee, senior Grant Solomon, senior Jean Thirouin, and junior Andy Zhou all were honored for maintaining a 3.5 or higher GPA this past academic year.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters.

All eight Ivy League men's tennis programs earned ITA All-Academic honors.
