CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –
The No. 33 Harvard men's tennis team sealed a solo second-place finish in the final Ivy League standings, as the Crimson took down Ivy rival No. 42 Dartmouth, 4-1, Saturday at the Murr Center Tennis Courts. The Crimson improves to 17-6 on the season and likely locked down an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament.

Looking to stretch its winning streak against the Big Green to 24 matches, the hosts stormed to the doubles point thanks to wins on all three courts. The No. 2 tandem of Brian Yeung and Nicky Hu captured a handful of early breaks and never looked back, breezing to an 8-2 win, their 12th dual victory this season. The doubles point was clinched soon after when Sebastian Beltrame and Christo Schultz polished off an 8-6 victory at No. 3, and Casey MacMaster and Denis Nguyen closed out a win on the first court to complete the sweep.

Hu gave the Crimson singles lineup a jolt with a stunning first set and powered through the second to give the hosts a 2-0 lead, thanks to a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6. Beltrame was close behind with a straight-set victory of his own, taking down Chris Kipouras, 7-5, 6-2, on the second court. Dartmouth got its only point of the day at first singles where Dovydas Sakinis frustrated Denis Nguyen to the tune of a 6-4, 6-1 final.

With matches embarking on third sets on the fourth and fifth courts, Shaun Chaudhuri methodically wore down his opponent at No. 3, taking the first set 6-1 despite a number of deuces. The second set was closer in terms of score, but Dartmouth's Cameron Ghorbani could not outlast the Crimson junior, as Chaudhuri claimed a 6-1, 6-4 win to give the hosts the victory.

The selection show for the 2014 NCAA Tournament field takes place Tuesday at 5 p.m.
