Freshman 2011-12
Finished the year with a 30-9 overall singles record between tournament and dual matches … Went 23-3 in singles play during the dual season … Recorded 21 straight victories between tournament and dual match play from Nov. 5 to April 8 … Earned a key victory at the No. 4 position in the team’s 4-2 win against then-No. 16 San Diego … Helped Harvard record its first NCAA tournament since 2004, when he defeated Corrado Degl’Incerti Tocci from the No. 4 spot (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) defeating Virginia Tech, 4-2 … Went 7-4 in doubles play, recording one of those wins during the dual season … Earned the team’s most improved player award.

Before Harvard:
Played No. 1 singles for four years at Monte Vista … Served as team captain in 2011 … Led squad to four East Bay Athletic League team titles and three North Coast Section crowns … Four-time team MVP … Earned All-America honors as a senior … Named East Bay Prep Athlete of the Year in 2009 …. Won two North Coast Section singles championships in 2009 and 2011 … Ranked No. 1 in Northern California in the Under 18s (2009-10) … Recipient of the 2009 Bill Talbert National Sportsmanship Award and Pacific Cup Sportsmanship Award … Won Okechi Womeodu Scholar-Athlete Award … Named Monte Vista’s Outstanding Student of the Year in 2011 … Served as president of the chess and science clubs … Enjoys playing chess, running and swimming.
