2011-12 (Harvard Athletic Communications).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second year in a row, the Harvard men’s tennis team had seven players named to the ITA All-Academic team. The 2011-12 men’s team also earned a team All-Academic nod from the ITA.
The senior class led the way for the Crimson as all four members of the class of 2012 earned individual academic accolades. Jonathan Pearlman, Mac McAnulty, Davis Mangham and Alistair Felton all earned academic honors and the foursome all appeared on the list a year ago as well. Junior Andy Nguyen and sophomore John Thornton also made the list and freshman Brandon Parker rounded out the group of Harvard representatives.
In order to earn ITA all-academic credentials, a player must have at least a 3.50 grade point average for the current academic year. The 2011-12 squad earned the team honor by combining for a team GPA of at least 3.20.
The Harvard men’s team will open its 2012-13 campaign at the Northeast Invitational and the UVA Invitational Sept. 21-23.
