CAMBRDIGE, Mass. No. 20 Harvard Men's tennis continued its winning ways on Friday as it recorded its 15th win of the year against the Binghamton Bearcats, 7-0, at the Murr Center tennis courts. Harvard went a perfect 6-0 in singles play while going 2-1 in doubles action.
The team of Andy Nguyen and Denis Nguyen defeated Alexandre Haggai and Ismael Dinia 9-8, while Jonathan Pearlman and Christo Schultz took down Ruben Haggai and Robin Lesage 8-2 to earn the doubles point.
With the Crimson up 1-0 in the match, Harvard rolled through singles play taking each match. Pearlman defeated Alex Haggai 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 1 slot while Denis Nguyen won against Ruben Devos 6-3, 6-1 in the No. 2 position. Schultz continued his stellar spring after he defeated Lesage 7-5, 6-0 in the No. 3 slot while freshman Shaun Chaudhuri, who played out of the No. 4 position, defeated Dinia 6-4, 1-6, 6-1. Alex Steinroeder won out of the No. 5 slot as he downed Rafael Rodrigues, 6-4, 6-2 and Henry Steer proved victorious against Ruben Haggai in the No. 6 spot, as he won 6-2, 6-4.
Harvard will conclude its weekend slate of matches against No. 58 St. John's on Sunday. The match is slated for 2 p.m.
