BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Harvard men's tennis suffered its first defeat of the season as it fell to No. 27 Indiana on Saturday afternoon by a score of 5-2. Freshman Shaun Chaudhuri helped spark a late comeback in singles play downing his opponent, Alistair Barnes, 6-2, 6-3, but it wouldn't be enough.
In doubles play, which was a strength of Harvard's entering the match, the Crimson lost close matches with Hoosier doubles teams as Alistair Felton and Casey MacMaster fell to Isade Juneau and Jeremy Langer 9-8, Denis and Andy Nguyen lost to Alistair Barnes and Josh MacTaggert 8-6, and Alex Steinroeder and Jon Pearlman lost to Stephen Vogl and Will Kendall 8-5.
