MONTGOMERY, Ala.- The Harvard men's tennis team kept No. 44 Penn State off the scoreboard and posted four points to capture the match, 4-0. Harvard claimed the doubles point and three singles matches. The Crimson ups its record to 7-4 on the season while the Nittany Lions dip to 11-3.
Alexei Chijoff-Evans and Joshua Tchan teamed up to pick up Harvard's first doubles victory of the match, an 8-4 decision at the No. 3 position. With the doubles score tied 1-1, Aba Omodele-Lucien and Christo Schultz secured the doubles point with an 8-6 win at the top slot.
Chijoff-Evans posted a 6-0, 6-4 win at the No. 1 singles spot and Omodele-Lucien scored a 6-4, 6-4 victory at the second singles position. Tchan solidified the win with a victory at the fifth singles slot. The No. 3, 4 and 6 singles matches went unfinished.
The Crimson will face Boise State, Saturday, in Harvard's final match of the tournament.
