CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior diver Mike Mosca has been named to the Capital One Division I Academic All-District first team, the organization announced Thursday. Mosca is one of three Ivy League athletes to earn the distinction this year.
A record-holding diver at Harvard, Mosca earned Honorable Mention All-America status for his 13th place finish at the 2014 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in March. The Tenefly, N.J., native finished his junior season as the Ivy League Champion in both the one- and three-meter dives and the Karl B. Michael High Point Diver of the Meet on top of being named an All-American.
Mosca's points on the boards for the Crimson helped Harvard claim the 2014 Ivy League Championship, the 23rd title in program history. Out of the pool Mosca and the Crimson owned the second-best grade point average among all NCAA swimming and diving teams in the country.
