Men's Swimming and Diving Moves Into Second at ECAC Championships

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Harvard men’s swimming
and diving team moved into second place with a strong second day of
competition, totaling 353.5 points Saturday at the 2010 ECAC
Championships. Navy maintains the overall lead with 435.5 points in
the meet.
Harvard began day two with a second-place finish in the 200-yard
medley relay as Gregory Pelton, Evan Schindewolf, Eric Taylor and
Nicholas DuCille posted a time of 1:32.36. Schindewolf followed by
taking the title in the 400 individual medley with a time of
4:00.91.
Rick McKellar took third in the 100 butterfly with a 49.60 time in
the finals and Brendan McIntee also finished third in the 200 free
with a time of 1:41.01. The Crimson wrapped up day two with their
second relay win of the competition, as McKellar, McIntee, Ryan
Cutter and David Lynch combined for a time of 6:44.84 in the 800
free relay.
Harvard returns to the pool Sunday for the final day of
competition at the ECAC Championships.
