PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Harvard men’s
swimming and diving team finished day one of the ECAC Championships
in third place, totaling 152 points Friday at Trees Pool. Navy
emerged with the lead after day one with 177 points while Rider
sits two points ahead of the Crimson with 154.
The Crimson kicked off the meet with a second-place finish in the
200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:22.41. Nicholas DuCille
and Rick McKellar turned in solid performances in the 50 free,
placing second and fourth with times of 20.66 and 20.83,
respectively. The Crimson wrapped up the opening day with a
third-place finish in the 400 medley relay, posting a time of
3:24.00.
Harvard returns to action Saturday in the second day of the ECAC
Championships.
