CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Senior Ned Reeves and juniors Richard Hill and Colin West were named the recipients of the annual mens squash awards, handed out at the team banquet this weekend.
March 31, 2009 Crimson Characters: Squash's Verdi DiSesa
Senior squash captain Verdi DiSesa recently finished his career at Harvard as the Crimson completed a 7-6 season and finished fourth at the CSA National Team Championships. DiSesa, who posted six wins on the year, was fourth on the team in victories and, just as importantly, was one of the teams leaders both on and off the court. DiSesa, a Philadelphia native, now looks forward to graduating and heading off to the real world.

An up-and-down season that started with the Crimson ranked as the No. 4 team in the nation ended with junior Colin West coming just short of a national final appearance in the CSA Individual Championships. In between, Harvard lost to national champion Trinity in the semifinal of the CSA National Team Championship and finished 7-6 overall.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard junior Colin West has been selected to the College Squash Association All-America first team for the second straight year, the CSA recently announced. West, who was also named to the All-Ivy League team for the third consecutive season, was 14-3 overall in 2008-09, including 11-2 at the No. 1 slot.
March 6, 2009 West Tabbed to All-Ivy League Team
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard junior Colin West was named to the All-Ivy League team for the third straight season, the conference announced Friday afternoon. West, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year in 2007, posted a 14-3 overall mark this season, including an 11-2 record at the No. 1 slot. The Crimson player led the team in wins and winning percentage (.824) and was 5-1 against Ivy opponents during the regular season.
