No. 2 Men’s Squash Upsets Top-Ranked Trinity College, 7-2

HARTFORD, Conn. – The No. 2 men's squash team upset top-ranked Trinity College, 7-2, as the Crimson dominated the top of the ladder taking matches one through five.  With the win, Harvard snapped the Bantam's 18-year long win streak of 162 consecutive wins at their home facility.

Harvard improves to 12-0 overall while Trinity falls to 15-1. 

Ali Farag defeated Miled Zaraza, 11-8, 11-3, 11-5 to post his tenth win of the season. Brandon McLaughlin won a hard fought battle in the No. 2 position against Karan Malik. The senior dropped his first set before coming back to win the next two. In the deciding match, McLaughlin only gave up four points.

Rookie Dylan Murray edged his opponent Vrishab Kotian 11-9, 8-11, 11-9, 13-11 in the third position while Gary Power swept Juan Vargas and Nigel Koh won, 3-2, in the fourth and fifth position respectively.

Tom Mullaney and Tyler Olson picked up wins in the bottom half of the ladder. 

The Crimson will continue its Ivy League slate with a trip to New Haven, Conn., to take on Yale Friday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m.
