PRINCETON, N.J. – Thirteen-time defending national champion Trinity, the No. 1-ranked team in the country, jumped to an early 2-1 lead and never looked back as the Bantams knocked off No. 4 Harvard, 6-3. The Crimson kept the match close, as only one match was decided in three games and five came down to deciding fifth games.

Ali Farag stayed undefeated at No. 1, downing Vikram Malhotra, 3-2 (2-11, 11-8, 6-11, 11-9, 11-3). Malhotra was ranked No. 3 in the 2010-11 College Squash Association individual rankings. Harvard's freshman is now 10-0 in his college career.

Nick Hopcroft and Nigel Koh were also winners for the Crimson. Hopcroft defeated Reinhold Hergeth, 3-1 (11-8, 4-11, 12-10, 11-9), in the No. 4 position and Koh narrowly topped Vrishab Kotian, 3-2 (11-4, 11-8, 9-11, 5-11, 14-12), in a fifth game tiebreaker at No. 6.

Trinity advances to a familiar position, the CSA title match, for the right to hoist the Potter Cup for the 14th straight year. The Bantams will face No. 2 Princeton Sunday at 12:30 p.m.

With the loss, Harvard drops to the third-place match where they will face No. 6 Cornell at noon tomorrow. The Big Red dropped a 7-2 decision to No. 2 Princeton Saturday afternoon after upsetting No. 3 Yale, 8-1, Friday.
