HARTFORD, Conn. – The No. 5 Harvard men's squash team dug itself a hole, losing its first five matches, before falling, 7-2, at No. 1 Trinity Saturday in Hartford, Conn. It was Trinity's first match since No. 2 Yale snapped the Bantam's 252-match win streak, which lasted nearly 14 years.

Ali Farag and Gary Power were the lone winners for the Crimson, which fell to 10-2 this season.

Farag, playing in the No. 1 spot, downed three-time All-American Vikram Malhotra, 3-1. Harvard's freshman remained undefeated at 3-0 this season in handing Malhotra his first loss of the season (7-1).

Power also won by a 3-1 margin, but both individual Harvard wins came after the Bantams had clinched the team victory. Power moved to 5-2 overall and in the No. 2 spot in 2011-12.

Harvard's next match is slated for Jan. 28 against No. 4 Rochester at the Murr Center. The Crimson will continue Ivy League play Feb. 3 at No. 15 Columbia and Feb. 5 at No. 6 Cornell.
