CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard athletics will introduce live and on-demand video online streaming for men's soccer games this fall. Six of the Crimson's seven home games will be available with multiple cameras and play-by-play.
Eric Steckling joins the Harvard broadcast team on the play-by-play call for GoCrimson.com. Steckling is a producer at WHDH-TV (NBC) in Boston and has held broadcast and production roles for the Big Ten Network, UNC-Asheville and University of Illinois.
All home games taking place at the Soldiers Field Soccer/Lacrosse Stadium will be part of the package, excluding only the Sept. 14 game against the University of Connecticut, which is being played at Ohiri Field.
As with other broadcast events, single games are priced at $9.95 and a season pass can be purchased for $29.95. Fans can also purchase a year-long subscription providing access to all Harvard video content.
Harvard opens its home schedule Sept. 7 against Michigan State at 4 p.m. and plays two days later against Southern Methodist University in a 1 p.m. contest.
All games will be immediately archived for on-demand viewing. Games can be viewed online at GoCrimson.com as well as mobile devices and iPads.
