Kobayashi Named Ivy Rookie of the Week
Hiroki Kobayashi netted the goal against Dartmouth at 30:24 (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After scoring the first goal of his collegiate career in a 1-1 tie against Dartmouth Saturday, freshman Hiroki Kobayashi has been tabbed the Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
A native of Scarsdale, N.Y., Kobayashi, a forward, scored at
30:24 against the Big Green, knotting the game, 1-1. Teammate Eric
Slingerland sent a long pass from the midfield, and Kobayashi
tipped a shot over the Dartmouth goalkeeper. Kobayashi finished the
game with two shots, both of which were on target.
