CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Famed British football club and English Premier League champions Manchester United practiced at Harvard this week prior to the team's friendly exhibition against the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium.
Manchester United trained at Harvard on Monday and Tuesday, practicing at Ohiri Field and working out at the Palmer Dixon Strength & Conditioning Center.
The team also held a soccer clinic at Harvard Stadium for Boston children from the Allston/Brighton area. The club had the opportunity to meet Harvard University President Drew Gilpin Faust and received a tour of Harvard's campus and Harvard Square.
Following the team's visit to Harvard, Manchester United defeated the New England Revolution, 4-1, in a friendly exhibition at Gillette Stadium Wednesday evening.
