Rogers Earns Second Nod as Ivy League Rookie of the Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman forward Brian
Rogers of the eighth-ranked Harvard men’s soccer team has
been selected as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second
time this season, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
Rogers was also honored by the league Sept. 14.
A native of Bronxville, N.Y., Rogers netted his third game-winning
goal of the season, scoring a golden goal in the 103rd minute to
lift Harvard to a 1-0 victory at Yale Saturday evening. Rogers
snuck the ball into the left corner of the cage at 102:53, helping
the Crimson improve to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in the Ivy League.
Rogers leads the Crimson in game-winning tallies and is second in
points with 13, goals with five and is tied for the assist lead
with three.
Rogers and the Crimson host Holy Cross at Ohiri Field Wednesday,
Oct. 7 at 3 p.m.
