Harvard Men's Lacrosse Appears 19th in Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.
– The Harvard men’s lacrosse team has
been ranked 19th in the 2012 Inside Lacrosse
preseason national poll, the publication announced this
week. The Crimson is one of five Ivy League schools to appear
in the Inside Lacrosse poll.
Harvard, which reached as high as No. 17 in the nation during last
season, opens its 2011 campaign by hosting Vermont at the Soldiers
Field Soccer Stadium Saturday, Feb. 25 at noon. The Crimson
returns 34 players from last year’s team, which finished 10-6
overall and went 3-3 in Ivy League contests. Under Chris Wojcik,

Crimson earned a spot in the Ivy League tournament final last
season.
The Crimson will face seven teams ranked in the Inside
Lacrosse preseason poll this spring, including No. 2 Duke on
the road (March 12), No. 3 Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y., (April 7)
and No. 11 Hofstra at the Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium (March
3). Harvard will also visit No. 12 Massachusetts (March 27), face
No. 13 Yale in New Haven, Conn., (April 28), travel to play No. 14
Penn (April 14) and welcome No. 16 Princeton to Harvard Stadium
(April 21).
