Harvard Stadium Hosts Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard
University played host to the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game
for the second consecutive season, as the 2011 event drew 11,186
fans to Harvard Stadium Saturday evening.
Team Warrior downed Team Authority, 21-20, in a contest that was
broadcast live nationally on ESPN2.
Hosting prominent lacrosse events has continued to be an increasingly big part of the picture for Harvard, which also hosted the 2011 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinals at Gillette Stadium in May.
In 2008 and 2009, Harvard hosted the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships at Gillette Stadium with a tournament-record crowd of 145,828 filling the stadium in 2008. Harvard will again host the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships at Gillette Stadium in 2012.
