CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Freshman goalkeeper Harry
Krieger of the 15th-ranked Harvard men's lacrosse team has been
named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference announed
Monday afternoon.
Krieger, a native of Timonium, Md., recorded a career-best 17 saves
against No. 7 Duke April 2. Krieger, who allowed only two
goals in the entire second half in a 14-5 loss, stopped seven shots
in the first quarter alone against the Blue Devils. Krieger also
grabbed a ground ball, as he stopped 12 of the 24 shots on goal he
faced in the first half.
Krieger, who owns a 3-1 overall record and an 11.06 goals-against
average, and the Crimson travel to No. 10 Cornell for an Ivy League
matchup Saturday, April 10. The opening faceoff is slated for 3
p.m.
