Motschwiller Selected to Play in NEILA East-West All-Star Game

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard senior co-captain Max Motschwiller has been named to the East team for the 2009 Turfer/New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star Game, the NEILA announced Friday morning.  The game will be held Sunday, May 31 at 1 p.m. at Tufts.

Motschwiller, a native of Glen Head, N.Y., appeared in all 13 contests this season at midfield for the Crimson and tallied 11 goals and handed out five assists for 16 points.  He was among 30 candidates for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award and scored at least one goal in nine of Harvard’s 13 games this season.

Motschwiller helped the Crimson to an 8-5 overall record, giving the program its most victories since 2002.  Harvard finished 3-3 in the Ivy League.
