Cohen Honored as NEILA Player of the Week
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Freshman attacker Jeff
Cohen of the Harvard men's lacrosse team has been named the
Turfer/New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Player of
the week, the NEILA announced Monday afternoon.
Cohen extended his goal streak to 10 straight games by netting
three scores in No. 18 Harvard's 8-5 win at Dartmouth Saturday.
Cohen, who had six hat tricks in his rookie season, including three
in a row to close out the spring, led the Crimson with 34 goals,
the ninth most ever for a Harvard player in a single season and the
most by a Crimson freshman.
Against the Big Green, Cohen scored once in each of the first three
quarters. His goal early in the third gave Harvard its first lead
of the day, a 5-4 advantage at the time.
