INDIANAPOLIS – Former men's hockey player Mike Seward has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, as announced by the NCAA.
The NCAA awards 174 postgraduate scholarships annually. The one-time non-renewable scholarships of $7,500 are awarded three times a year corresponding to each sport season (fall, winter and spring). Each sports season there are 29 scholarships available for men and 29 scholarships available for women for use in an accredited graduate program.
Seward was a four-time letterwinner for the Crimson. The Winchester, Massachusetts native was a leader on the Crimson's 2015 ECAC Hockey tournament title run during his senior campaign. He graduated that spring with a degree in Organismic and Evolutionary Biology.
Seward's scholarship will assist in his attendance at Harvard Medical School beginning this fall.
