    On the eve of Alex Biega’s graduation from Harvard, Darcy Regier, general manager of the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres, has announced that the 2009-10 Crimson captain has signed a professional contract with the club.

    Eleven members of the Harvard class of 2010 were honored at the annual Senior Letterwinners’ Dinner, held Wednesday night at the Murr Center. J.P. O’Connor of the wrestling team took home the William J. Bingham Award as Harvard’s outstanding male athlete, and Alexandra Clarke of the women’s swimming team earned the Radcliffe Prize as the outstanding female athlete.

  • Del Mauro, Huxley Named Men’s Hockey Captains; Richter Named Assistant

    Michael Del Mauro and Chris Huxley were announced as the 117th and 118th captains of Harvard men’s hockey at the Crimson’s awards banquet Saturday morning. Kyle Richter was named assistant captain and Alex Biega received his second straight Tudor Cup as the team’s most valuable player.

    Former Harvard men’s hockey All-Americans Noah Welch ’05 and Dominic Moore ’03 have been named to the ECAC Hockey All-Decade team for the 2000s, the league office announced Friday. Welch, a defenseman, is a first-team selection, while Moore has been named to the second team at forward.
