Killorn Earns Honorable Mention for National Rookie of the Month
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—Harvard freshman forward
Alex Killorn was ECAC Hockey’s nominee for National Rookie of
the Month in February and has earned honorable mention for the
award from the Hockey Commisioners’ Association.
Killorn scored three goals and added an assist in eight February
games, helping the team put together a 4-0-2 regular-season. Two of
the goals came against highly ranked teams. He scored to give the
Crimson a 2-0 lead against No. 1 Boston University Feb. 2 in the
opening round of the Beanpot and scored the first goal in
Harvard’s 4-2 win against No. 6 Cornell Feb. 14.
The Montreal native also netted the tying goal to complete a
comeback from two goals down in a 3-3 tie Feb. 21 at Clarkson.
Killorn assisted on the tying tally in an eventual 2-1 win Feb. 27
against Quinnipac that clinched a home playoff series for
Harvard.
Killorn finished the season tied for third on the Crimson with six
goals and tied for fourth with 14 points.
