Pollak, Shuman Named To Ping All-Region Team

The Golf Coaches Association of America recently announced selections for 2009 All-Region and All-America teams. In all, six Ivy League Men's golfers were named to the PING All-Northeast team, including Harvard's Greg Shuman and Mark Pollak.

Joining the Shuman and Pollak on the squad is Columbia's Brandon Doyle, Yale's Tom McCarthy and Ben Wescoe and Dartmouth's Peter Williamson, the 2009 Ivy League Men's champion, headed the list.

Shuman (8th, 214) and Pollak (13th, 217) helped the Harvard squad finish 6th at the Ivy League Championships after a strong first-place at that Caves Valley Spring Intercollegiate by 13 strokes. The tournament also featured Penn, Princeton and Yale.
