  • Dershwitz Earns Gold at IFE Competition

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – This past weekend, Eli Dershwitz of the men’s fencing team competed in the Senior World Cup Algeria, earning gold in the sabre category for the United States. The tournament, which took place Nov. 3-5, featured 132 top fencers from around the world.

    UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Harvard men’s fencing team dominated competition this weekend at the Penn State Open, its first tournament of the 2017-18 season. The Crimson faced competitors from host Penn State, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Washington State and Yale.

    Peter Brand, the head coach of the Harvard men’s fencing team, has announced the addition of four freshmen for the upcoming 2017-18 season: Adrian Thein-Sandler (Epee), Charles Horowitz (Epee), Geoffrey Tourette (Foil) and Edward Zhao (Sabre).
