Hawrot Hauls in COOP Honors

James Hawrot is the Harvard COOP Athlete of the Week, for the week ending March 14. The Barrington, R.I., native captured first-place in the epee competition at the NCAA Northeast Regionals. The sophomore posted a 4-2 record in the opening round of bouts, a 5-1 mark in the second pool and won eight bouts in the final round.

Harvard will serve as the host institution for the 2010 NCAA Fencing Championships. The competitors will be announced later in the week.
