Eight Harvard/Radcliffe rowers will represent three countries at the 2009 World Championships in Poznan, Poland Aug. 23-30. All eight rowers have international experience, while three have competed on the ultimate stage at the 2008 Olympics.

Mens lightweight crew captain Jeff Overington is already done with his Harvard academic career, but he has one more hurrah to go before his athletic career is done. After the Crimson took first as a team at the EARC Sprints May 10, Overington and his crewmates earned a spot at the IRA National Championships June 4-6 in Sacramento, Calif., looking to capture the first national title since 2003.
May 20, 2009 Harvard Heavyweights and Lightweights Invited to IRA National Championships
Harvard heavyweight crew has been invited to compete in all five races at the IRA National Championships June 4-6 in Sacramento, Calif. This is the first year the regatta has gone to an invitation format. The Crimson lightweight varsity eight was also invited to compete in the lone lightweight race.
