Emerson Curry joins the men’s lightweight coaching staff for the 2008-09 season as a volunteer assistant. Curry, a 2008 Dartmouth College graduate, was a member of the Big Green’s 2007 Ivy League and Eastern Sprints championship boat.

Curry was a three- year letterman for the Big Green and captained the squad as a senior.  He earned All-Ivy League honors in 2007 when the varsity eight won the Eastern Sprints Championship.

Curry has received numerous awards for his dedication to Dartmouth rowing.  The Louis C. Breer Cup for leadership and sportsmanship on the Dartmouth Varsity Lightweight Crew, The Thaddeus Seymour Rowing Award for the oarsman who has given the most to Dartmouth Crew  and the Class of 1991 award for the underclassman who demonstrates leadership,  competence, and friendship on and off the water.

Curry captained the cross country, swimming and rowing teams at the Kent School.
