CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Three Harvard and Radcliffe former standouts medaled at the 2014 World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam over the weekend. Henrik Rummel '09 earned silver in the men's 4- for USA, Olivia Coffey '11 took home bronze in the quadruple sculls for USA and Vince Breet '16 gained a bronze medal in the men's 2- for South Africa.
Andrew Campbell '14, coached by Charley Butt, the Bolles-Parker Head Coach for Harvard Men's Heavyweight Crew, posted a world’s best time in the lightweight men's single sculls, finishing 13th overall.
Also racing for the USA, Matt O'Leary '13 finished fifth in the lightweight men’s eight, while Austin Meyer '12 (10th) and Mike Wales '14 (15th) competed in the lightweight men’s double sculls and lightweight men’s pairs, respectively.
Racing in the Australian eight, Josh Hicks '13 placed seventh overall.
